Life Lessons, through Zentangle

So this is it! My first, ever blog post. WOO-HOO.

I want so badly to sit here and type some great revelation that I've had and can share with you. Maybe give you some sort of wisdom that you can take with you for the rest of the week and think, gosh I'm so happy I took the time to read her blog, what would I have done without that bit of information?! Sorry... nothing there

BUT....

I can share with you one of the many things I've learned through Zentangle.

That is,

Practice makes "more better" and when we practice, its to get more better, not, perfect.

Perfect today is different from perfect tomorrow, perfection is fluid and we are fickle creatures who always want more, regardless of the subject. I found that after I went to CZT training, during seminar my tiles were not pretty. I was super stressed out the whole time, wanting them to look 'Perfect'.

It got me thinking... when I wasn't stressed out and we were doing a tile, my tile came out much better.

That's kind of the point of Zentangle, right?

YES, yes it is.

I find that when I completely throw caution to the wind and decide that I don't WANT my tile to be perfect and I purposely make it that way, THAT is when I allow the process to work. THAT is when I lose myself and THAT is when I started to grow significantly in my drawing skills, this is what I call a Z.L.L (Zentangle Life lesson).

I do have some art work to share with you from this week. YaY!

There is a weekly challenge on Mondays. Can be found here at I Am the Diva

This week is Challenge#279 A Duo-Tangle (duo-tangle is a tile consisting of 2(duo) patterns) For this one the patterns were Meer

Auraknot. Pretty fun to try and make them mesh together. I love the tangle Auranot, its always a fun challenge. Meer is fun as well, making it look different with tangle enhancers or stretching the lines differently or making them wider and narrower, lots of things can be done to switch it up. I love tiles that only have one (mono tangles) or two tangles(duo Tangles) they are the most relaxing in my opinion.

I always learn a lot from seeing the process that others go through, so occasionally I take pictures of a tile as I am drawing it. I don't think my art work is THAT GOOD that people should do what  I do, but I do like sharing the process in hopes that others can glean some sort of in site for their own work.(I know I do when I see others)

here's that one

Heres my finished product

I've been working on my layers lately. Trying to get things to looked layered is harder that it seems it would be. I still have some work to do in the layering aspect of things, but Its not a bad turn out.

Its funny since I've started this post (4 days ago, dont laugh! I have four kids and work two self run buisnesses! im a busy lady!) I've had lots of other ideas, so you might see them a lot to begin with but maybe not so much as time passes, we shall see.

Till we meet again

Happy Tangling
